Baby baboons - Sept 10

Our baboon babies, Gus, Bonnie, Clyde and Lola, have been joined by new two orphaned little ones and the volunteers have been looking after them as surrogate mums. They love having their bottles, playing in the volunteers rooms but are not so keen on their morning showers and nappies at night!

The Seniors - August 2010

Bloomie is still the queen of the castle in the senior baboon camp. She keeps all the others in check while still finding time to play. Volunteers like to through a handful of raisons over the fence to her and watch her meticulously pick up every single raison and stuff them into her mouth until her cheeks are bulging!

Big baboons - Sept 10

The big baboons go out for a regular walk and forage twice a week with Shaun, our new wildlife cordinator, Cila, Johannes and the volunteers. 

Baby Baby Baboons - May 2010

Lola our newest addition has settled into our group of baby babies very well - at first she would hardly ever have contact with people but now she loves being cuddled by the volunteers and interacting with them. It just shows what time can achieve. 

Senior Baby Baboons - May 2010

Bloomie, Sarafina, Kayla, Lala, Bekkies and Troy are all doing well and loving life. Volunteers are now going into their camps to bottle feed which is great fun and the baboons really seem to like the extra attention. Bloomie continues to try and have a bottle, occasionally fooling our volunteers that she's one of the babies too. 

Big Baboons - May 2010

All 18 baboons are doing well and we can see their personalities growing each day. Every baboon is loved for their individual characteristics whether it be Nemo flirting with all our female volunteers, Jeffrey saying hello whilst rubbing his favourite rock on his chest, Jelly Tot washing his food in the waterhole, Bobby falling out the trees or Bucket giving his famous and much loved Bucket hugs to people. 
 

Big Baboons - March 2010

Our big baboons are enjoying being the oldest and biggest on the farm now and are really showing off their boisterous side, especially Nemo and Bobby and also Big Mumma who is on heat at the moment.

Troy, Lala, Bakkies, Kayla and Sarafina are loving their new enclosure with Bloomie and clearly enjoy not being the little ones on the farm anymore. They are still bottle fed each morning but are also being fed lots of fruit, vegetables and mielepap.

Our new baby baboons Marlin, Gus, Bonnie and Clyde continue to win the hearts of everyone who meets them and now they are joined by a fifth baby! Lola joined our baby baboons in February and the others have really welcomed her into their group. It’s like she’s always been with them!
