Bloomie, Sarafina, Kayla, Lala, Bekkies and Troy are all doing well and loving life. Volunteers are now going into their camps to bottle feed which is great fun and the baboons really seem to like the extra attention. Bloomie continues to try and have a bottle, occasionally fooling our volunteers that she's one of the babies too. The walks are always popular amongst our volunteers. We have started taking both the seniors and the baby babies out together which adds so much more to these already entertaining walks. Its great to see Bloomie acting like mum and caring for Gus, Clyde, Bonnie, Lola and Marlin. Its clear that Bloomie has a soft spot for Gus who gets a lot of loving attention from her.
Troy is becoming huge and is going to be one Big Baboon! We have started taking them to the big baboon tree with the net which they love - Troy and Bakkies love playing and pushing each other out of the trees and there is a berry tree near by which volunteers take them to and let them stand on their shoulders and pick berries.
Sarafina is still as vocal as ever and loves to give cuddles and has a thing for climbing down the T-shirts of the volunteers. Kayla and Lala continue to be lovely except when Kayla refuses to go back into her camp after walks and loves being chased all round the farm. As this is written Kayla is on the roof jumping up and down................
